John Yanko is a singer/songwriter, producer and performer from Melbourne, Australia. 

John has released 5 songs that he has written and self produced on all streaming platforms & regularly performs his original music in venues & festivals around Melbourne. 

In 2025 John made his TV debut on the hit ABC TV show, ‘The Piano’, hosted by Amanda Keller and featured classical pianist, Andrea Lam & Grammy Award winner, Harry Connick Jr. John was chosen by Andrea & Harry to perform at a concert at the City Recital Hall in Sydney.

Also in 2025, John played the lead role of Dewy Finn in the Theatrical Inc production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical ‘School of Rock’ to great public & critical acclaim.

In 2023, John won the award for ‘Lead Performer in a Male Presenting Role’ from the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria & an award for ‘Best Performer in a Lead Male Role’ from the Lyrebird Awards for his leading role of Dewey Finn in his high school production of ‘School of Rock’ The Musical . 

John is currently self producing his debut album & continues to perform solo & with his band in Melbourne & in musical theatre productions.
